Namaste, welcome to my studio

I’m Sejal Saini, a visual artist based in the Pacific Northwest. My artistic journey began with a deep interest in design, which led me to earn a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design and a Master’s in Sustainable Production. Through various internships, I gained hands-on experience in design and production, sharpening my understanding of both creativity and process.

After university, I ventured into the corporate world, working in hospitality and banking. Although I had stepped away from art for a time, the pull of creativity never fully left me. In 2024, I rediscovered my passion for painting while creating art for my own home. It was then that I realized my true calling lies not in managing financial accounts, but in creating art that speaks to my soul.

I made the decision to leave the corporate world behind and devote myself entirely to my art—creating original works that reflect my commitment to creativity and mindful design. I primarily focus on contemporary symbolic art influenced by abstraction. My style is defined by what I call Sumique Strokes and Sumique Dots—expressive brushwork and intricate dot patterns. POV: Sumique is a blend of my nickname "Sumi" and the word "Unique."

While I love sharing my work, I'm not always able to document every step of the process or make reels. Sometimes, I just want to focus and complete a piece in peace, without the distractions of recording for social media.
